My name is Kathleen Belfiore Schuman. In 1997, I began my lifelong passion to document my family roots, never dreaming my research would unravel one family's 40-year, well-kept secret. I spent eight years investigating this story, which includes personal interviews, original military documents kept by family members, interviews with various military personnel, and extensive research from the National Archives and Records Administration. Combined, my research eventually led to a remarkable story that I titled, 'One Mans Courage'. I'm not a writer by any stretch of the imagination. I have no literary background or experience to speak of. I simply tell this story. And through this story, I hope to demonstrate the importance of family and one's personal history, yet at the same time, educate the public concerning the variations of impact that war has on each individual and their family. Please help spread the word by passing this website along. www.onemanscourage.com "If you give up your dream you die." |
